Two daughters of the Niger State Governor, Muazu Babangida Aliyu recently got married.  Jamila and Farida. Their wedding was graced by notable dignitaries  which included Second Republic President, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, former Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar and Danmasanin Kano, Dr. Yusuf Maitama Sule.

Namadi Sambo , the Vice President led an entourage of the Federal Government to the event.

Jamila was married to Suleiman Aliyu while Farida wedded Muktar Bello at the ceremony held in the Governor Aliyu’s family house near the Central Mosque.

Senate President David Mark and Speaker, House of Representatives Aminu Tambuwal, Governor of Imo State Rochas Okorocha and his Ekiti State counterpart, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, also attended the occasion.

Other governors, who witnessed the ceremony were Governor Kassim Shettima of Borno State, Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwanbo (Gombe), Governor Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano), Governor of Kaduna State Dr. Muktar Ramalan Yero, the Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Mukhtar Shagari and the Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF),  Chief Rotimi Ameachi of Rivers State.
