Nollywood actor and ex-president of the AGN, Segun Arinze has dispelled the death rumours trailing actor, Pete Edochie.
Arinze says the story is malicious and untrue and should be disregarded.
‘Pls all those spreading rubbish rumour via BC that Pete Edochie died should stop that NOW!! The Man is ALIVE in his House in Enugu enjoying his peace and holidays. I just spoke with Pete Edochie now and he laughed the malicious rumour off and wishes you all A prosperous 2013!!‘ Arinze wrote in a Blackberry Messenger broadcast.
Edochie’s son Yul also sent out messages last night, confirming his father is alive and in good shape.
Edochie, 65, started acting in 1980 and became popular for his role as ‘Okonkwo’ in the NTA adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart.
